The Sleeping One

Carl Prescott’s adventure has begun. Carl and his friends, Grace and Burt, have problems at home. Their parents are terrified of them, but the three teens do not know why. They will begin to understand when each are summoned to the principal’s office to meet with Headmaster Alexander Dorchester of the Bertrand Aloysius Thorndike Academic Institution. The headmaster is in San Diego to recruit the friends to his school located in the remote Azores Archipelago in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Out of options, the three leave their old lives behind.

The Thorndike Institution is one of only two schools on Earth that seek to understand and growth the unusual talents of their students. They will learn that the same things that had unnerved their parents and friends are actually incredible abilities that can save the world. However, with great talent and power comes great danger and risk. The future of our world depends on how well they can learn and defeat the growing danger.

Meanwhile, the other school would prefer to see humanity subjected to the absolute rule of a demon. Headmaster Greenleaf and Professor Thorndike the eighth will do whatever they can to stop Carl and his friends. It will be a battle of will and strength to decide if our planet can survive.

Carl Prescott and The Sleeping One is my first young adult fantasy. As with all of my novels, this book is fast-paced and the action is nonstop. It is a story of friendship, blossoming love, and Incredible talents that will boggle the reader’s mind. I hope you enjoy it. Carl Prescott and The Sleeping One was published on January 15, 2019 in both e-book and paperback on Amazon.com. If you read it, please let me know what you thought.

With me, some story is always percolating in my mind. Book 2 of the Carl Prescott series, Carl Prescott and the Demon Queen, is currently being edited. Book 3, tentatively entitled Carl Prescott and the False Universe, is in the rewrite stage. Book 4 (still awaiting the perfect title) is just beginning. Join the adventure!
